This can be tricky at times and often I find myself physically hurting at the end of the day. If only I could shrink down to "fun size."
Today was no exception.
I spent a majority of my morning in a bed fort. I was crouched under a sheet on a toddler bed for almost 2 hours. And what would a fort be if it didn't include 15 books, 10 stuffed animals, 3 blankets, and 2 flashlights?
But how could I say no to this face?
For lunch, I gave Lauren the option of choosing where she would like us to eat. I gave her the choice of the big table (our dining room table) or the little table (her Dora table). Little Miss decided that neither of the options appealed to her. Instead, she took my hand and led me to her little cottage. Yet again, I failed to say no and obliged to her request. We would be dining in the cottage.
So, there I sat. My arms crossed and legs folded Indian-style. I sipped water from my water bottle as I could not comfortably eat without wearing most of my food. By the time lunch was over, I couldn't feel my body from the waist down. Although, I must say, seeing Lauren's obvious excitement about lunching in the cottage was enough to make it worth it.
Shortly after lunch, I was challenged to a dance off to the tune Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes in which I lost 6 times in a row. I was again challenged before bathtime. I danced through the song 9 times before Turner begged us to stop. Who needs Zumba when interactive toddler tunes are put on repeat?
Tomorrow's Toddler Fitness Boot Camp: The Hokey Pokey. Hopefully, some of my sore joints will loosen up as I shake them all about.
Laaawwwd, have mercy!
LOL...seriously, though...how do you resist that face!?!?! She's SO freaking adorable!!
ReplyDeleteSunnie has this thing about me always having to sit on the floor. ALL the time. I often wonder why I even have furniture.
